AK-102 Project

These are some shots of my work-in-progress milled receiver variant AK-102 clone. What you see here is my side-folding milled receiver from Firing Line specially modified to sport the AK-100 series side-folding polymer stock. Due to rather low demand for 5.56x45mm Kalashnikovs, Firing Line doesn’t make very many of (or even advertise) their receivers in this caliber. I’ve aquired most of the other parts for the project, but now that I’ve got the receiver, the next step is to fill out the Form 1 paperwork to get ATF approval for the build. I hear that the ATF is actually getting the approval times down to 90 days or so, but I’m still 9 months from being able to send the paperwork off. Calling this a long term project is a bit of an understatement.

Update 2016-08-19: Approved Form 1 received
