We have a slab!
I’m working on a place to put this (look at the New House Stuff link on the right nav bar), but we’ve got progress on the house — we have a slab! Actually, we saw (and I don’t know the correct nomenclature for this) the wood framework started last weekend in preparation for pouring the foundation, but I just hadn’t posted anything. Well, they worked quick. We couldn’t wait to see if there was any progress and went down again on Wednesday and Friday this week to see what changes my have happened and on Wednesday they were digging around and had pipes sticking out of the ground. On Friday they had the slab poured, and on Sunday it looks to be more cured (much lighter surface color). I don’t know what the cure time is supposed to be before they start working on the main construction. Here’s a pic:
