Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Yesterday, *right* after work, we went to see Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.  It’s Will Ferrell’s latest creation.  Will Ferrell has a particular style, just as Adam Sandler has his own.  Well, I must say this is particularly well done for one of his movies.  He definitely got a big budget for it.  I thought it was really funny.  Honestly, I didn’t have much expectations as to the quality of the film, especially considering how some of his last few films went, but it was good.  Ferrell really did more than just be funny.  His acting really expressed the over-the-top, fictional character as if he were real.  It didn’t seem like a character, but like a live cartoon character.  In short, have fun watching the film, but don’t have high expectations of it exploring some facet of humanity.
